Where it started
Before Salesy was a product, it was a WhatsApp catalog, a pinned price list, and a lot of "sent, please confirm receipt." We were selling the same way most of Nigeria's informal economy sells — over chat, on trust, one screenshot at a time.
It worked, until it didn't. Orders got lost in threads. Payment proof went missing. A serious buyer would ask for a website, and we had none to show them. The tools built for e-commerce assumed a warehouse and a developer; what we had was a phone and a following.
So we built the thing we needed first: a storefront that takes minutes to set up, payments that don't require a screenshot, and an order list that remembers what the conversation forgot.
"A seller shouldn't need a developer to look credible online."

What we build
One link for your shop — drop it in a WhatsApp status, an Instagram bio, a group chat. It looks like a real store because it is one, not a screenshot of your products.
Buyers pay by card, bank transfer, or USSD through Paystack. You get notified the moment it lands — no more "please send proof of payment."
Each order moves from paid to packed to delivered, so you can tell a customer exactly where their order is without scrolling back through chat history.
What guides us
Every decision starts with whether it helps a vendor sell more — not whether it looks good in a deck.
If a feature needs a tutorial, it's too complicated. We'd rather ship less and have it make sense immediately.
Secure payments and verified accounts, so a buyer never has to take a stranger on the internet at their word.
Most of our sellers run their business from one device. We design for that first, and everything else follows.
